CHILDREN'S ART CAMP JULY 27 - 31 2026

Still one week. Still the last week of July 27th – 31st!

We introduced our “Gotta have” Heart Art Camp in July 2025 and it was immediately clear that everyone involved: campers, artists, volunteers, parents and our entire congregation at Christ Church, had a wonderful time. 

The camp offered an opportunity for children in the St. Helens area to creatively express themselves via a variety of artistic expressions such as story, visual arts, fiber arts, music and dance, glass arts, and more proved to be a welcome experience for all! 

The decision was made immediately that we would offer this opportunity again. This year we’ve found a fitting title for the camp due to the beautiful Blessing Woods natural area attached to the church. We will now be known as the “gotta have” Heart Art and Nature Camp! 

Our theme for this year will be “Hidden Woods,” and we already have our amazing artists thinking about theme-based projects to stir imagination in young hearts and minds. Our indoor and outdoor studios will be humming with thoughts of what lives and breathes in those Hidden Woods, and their projects will lift up and honor wildlife, from the tiniest ant to our visiting deer. 

We are so happy to be continuing this new camp opportunity in St. Helens and look forward to making great art with your children and to celebrating all our creations with you as our guests for the close of camp at our Friday celebration.

The camp hours are 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. with extended hours from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. Please let us know on the registration form if you will need this service. For other questions, please email office@sthelenschristchurch.org or leave a message on the church phone, 503.397.1033.  

And, by the way, we welcome hearing from potential Camp Counselors (ages 16 – 18) and Junior Counselors (ages 13-16,) who enjoy being part of the camp and working with children ages 6-12 years under guidance from our artists and adult volunteers. All counsellors receive a Certificate of Merit and references where needed for their participation. Young persons who are interested in being a Camp Counselor are welcome to apply by first emailing esmejrculver@gmail.com to arrange an interview. Older brothers and sisters welcome!

To pay by check: please download our camp registration form below and fill out on both sides (one form per child), fill out & mail to Camp Office, Christ Church, P.O. Box 478, St. Helens, OR 97051 with a check for $185 per child payable to Christ Episcopal Church.
